Rotacaster dollies and multi-skates (load skates) take the balancing act out of material handling tasks and provide a safe solution for custom load requirements.

the rota-dollie
The rota-dollie uses fixed multidirectional rotacaster omni wheels which, unlike swivel castors, create a static relationship between the centre of load, its orientation, and the wheelbase. This reduces both the effort and risks associated with moving loads through the following unique advantages:
-
Load Stability - requires less effort to balance a load during turning and rotation, reducing the risk of overturning a load or strain injuries.
-
Tracking/Directional Control - unlike swivel castors, rotacaster wheels track in the direction the load is steered, reducing the effort and twisting action that causes strain injuries. This also reduces the tendency for ‘crabbing’ which typically results in the dangerous practice of pulling rather than pushing the load.
-
Incline Performance - the above characteristics combine to provide greater control and safety when traversing inclines.
The welded aluminium frame with fixed recessed/housed rotacaster multi-directional wheels means no swivel mechanisms or bolts (other than axles) to maintain, ensuring consistent trouble free performance for the life of the product.

the rota-skate
With all the benefits of the rota-dollie, the rotacaster rota-skate is highly versitile and can be used as an undercarriage for custom applications, inverted as a pipe roller or as a turntable base.
Key Benefits:
-
Combine to Conquer - combine via 19mm (3/4”) steel bars to connect or space units providing a custom platform for individual load and weight requirements. Each mount may be fitted with 2 or 3 multidirectional rotacaster omni wheels.
-
Simple Custom Applications - easily fit custom load carriages e.g. drums, steel beam, pipe, panel etc., by simply using a connection plate with 1 (for articulating) or 2 (for fixed) 19mm (3/4”) holes spaced to take the connecting bars. The size/spacing of the units and combination can be simply achieved by using longer and/or additional connecting bars.
-
Inverted (Upside Down) Applications - invert the rota-skate and use it as a transfer table, pipe roller, feed rail or turntable.
-
Precision Positioning - the functionality of the multidirectional rotacaster omni-wheels ensure precise positioning of loads without working around or fighting a swivel offset.
-
Direct Lateral (Sideways) Movement - by using custom mounts, rotacaster multidirectional wheels can be combined with some mounted at 90° to the others, to provide greater direct lateral movement capability under heavy loads.
